The hotel has a restaurant next door that is open all day into the night (and will deliver). But it was plentiful and held me over until almost 2pm everyday. The breakfast was the basic spread you'd expect: cold cuts, cheese, breads, eggs, etc. She was truly one of the best hotel staff members I've encountered anywhere in the world. I bothered her almost every morning with the typical tourist/transportation questions and she'd sit down with my map and go through it all with me. All of the staff was really really helpful but Sophia, she was an angel. The fridge in the room is convenient to stock up on the cheap bottled water that you can buy from the cafe next to the metro station. Wifi in the room was SO incredibly slow but it worked well in the hallway and lobby. I didn't like that the air shut off when I took the key with me because it was SO hot during the day that the room would be muggy when I returned and sometimes took a little time to cool down. The mattress was hard but that didn't bother me. My room was on the corner, which gave me 3 balconies (right, left & center). The room was basic but clean and a pretty decent size. This hotel covered all of those requirements.
ARISTON HOSPITALITY FREE
My requirements for my hotels are as follows: safe neighborhood, close to metro/tram, cleanliness, free wifi, helpful staff, wallet friendly and free breakfast (if possible). Would definitely recommend it to adventurous travellers, and young people who are on a budget. The cost-performance is high, and it is slightly under one hour to the airport. IF you would like to have a taste of local charm, see how the local people live, work and play, the Ariston Hotel is an ideal choice. I could watch locals as well as foreigners play football in the court across the street.

There was one but the teams had been punished for some faults, and that match, which was nearby, played to an empty stadium! She recommended that I watched the matches in the restaurant next door, which happens to be called "Happy Restaurant"! The staff are very very cool! I had a fun stay at the Ariston! It is in a very local district, and it is safe. She went all the way out to help by contacting her friends and checked the schedule. I wanted to watch a live local soccer match in a stadium, and sought her assistance. She also complimented on my sandals, which honestly few have liked! (laugh). Self-service, so I had like three cups of coffee every morning! I would like to specially mention Matina, who was smiling all the time, energetic and ever so positive. It was simple, with bread, jam and boiled eggs. The tub was a brilliant touch, and I soaked myself in it three nights in a row! The breakfast was included in the price. It faced the main road, but as I was there over the weekend, the noise was minimal. The check-in was swift and the room was simple but very comfortable. Can't miss it as it is right on the main street. It is just three minutes from the Larissa Train Station. Spent three nights at the Ariston Hotel (August 29 - August 31).
